STORM Series Blowers

The Plastec Storm Series consists of high static pressure centrifugal blowers constructed from polypropylene. These blowers are designed for ventilation applications where corrosion and chemical resistance are required. Performance and Dimensions

These instructions supplement general practices for Plastec fans and blowers, with detailed instructions presented separately. Users and installers should also read the "RECOMMENDED SAFETY PRACTICES FOR AIR MOVING DEVICES" published by the Air Movement and Control Association (AMCA).

Typical installation configurations include mounting the blower to a support stand or installing it as part of a roof top ventilation system. The manual provides illustrations for these setups. When mounting the fan to a weather hood, the motor feet should point vertically upwards for attachment to the underside of the hood top, ensuring the fan discharge is correctly oriented. Any new assembly parts or mounting hardware sourced must be 316 Stainless Steel.

Electrical wiring should only be performed by qualified electrical maintenance personnel familiar with the equipment and associated hazards. Failure to observe this precaution could result in property damage and/or serious bodily injury, including death. General electrical precautions must be followed.
